We are better when we come together. Join us to make a difference in our great city!
SBT is hosted and run in partnership between:
Ways to get involved
Businesses want to give back and our aim is to make it easy for you to do so. We have 3 key themes that are detailed below and a range of opportunities that deliver both immediate and strategic change. Whether your focus is supporting charities and community groups, working with schools and colleges or supporting more collaborative projects to tackle social issues. There are lots of ways you can get involved, from sharing your resources, time or expertise.
Educational Outreach
Helping disadvantaged young people reach their full potential
Our educational outreach programme is grounded in the belief that a young persons background shouldn’t determine their future and employers have a key role to play.
We work with schools and colleges in areas of high deprivation and low social mobility. Identifying and brokering meaningful employer encounters to raise student attainment, aspiration and work readiness.
Environment
Working with partners on climate action and improving the air quality in school playgrounds
We will continue to support campaigns to deliver a fair and inclusive journey to a net-zero, resilient future where people and nature thrive. We are committed to building more living green barriers in primary school playgrounds to improve air quality. Which also provides children access to green spaces to learn about the environment and sustainability.

Social Action
Bringing sectors together to address social issue in the city
Our focus areas, food insecurity, young people, BAME communities, regugees and homelessnes, are aligned with Sheffield Council’s Poverty Action Plan. By businesses collaborating, we aim to undertake larger transformational projects that no one sector or business can deliver alone.
