Thank you from Sheffield Business Together
Season’s Greetings
Hi Everyone,
As the year comes to an end we wanted to send a big thank you for all your support in 2022, we couldn’t have done it without you!
.
This year, amongst many other things, we have collectively:
- To date, we have raised over £250k for 17 Foodbanks which makes up the Sheffield Foodbank Network
- Help set up and establish ADIRAs Self Care Hub for the African Caribbean community in Sheffield with help from Henry Boot
- Successfully delivered the Levelling Up Futures in Sheffield social mobility project. 319 employees delivered 101 employer encounters to 6,118.
You can watch a short video here that showcases the project and our key achievements 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VFV5fiIHwg&feature=youtu.be
With your support our ambitions for 2023 include:
- Continuing our partnership with the See it Be it programme engaging employers with students in schools and colleges in areas of deprivation and low social mobility
- Scale the Green Barrier programme to continue to mitigate the impacts of air pollution in primary school playgrounds
- Continue to deliver collaborative cross-sector projects to address the key city challenges
Over the last 2 years, we have delivered over 3,000 books to Sheffield primary schools in areas of disadvantage which were kindly donated by Miles Kelly. BITC has launched a fundraising campaign to enable us to donate books to school children across all of our seven place locations.
Whilst we have hit our initial target, every pound donated will allow us to donate extra books. Please donate to the campaign here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/christmas-books-for-kids-1

We look forward to continuing to work and collaborate with you in the New Year and wish you a wonderful festive break, and a happy and healthy 2023.
Best wishes,
Carolynn and Katie
